Landscaping is a term which means modifying the visible features of land, and can therefore involve an array of gardening tasks, from simple DIY jobs to full scale design and build landscaping services. Landscaping is usually divided into two distinct areas. Soft landscaping refers to modifications to plants, trees and bushes, as well as laying turf. Hard landscaping is used to group alterations to terrain such as the installation of patios, walls, fences, decking, driveways, or artificial grass. Landscaping will also consist of maintenance jobs like mowing and strimming lawns, trimming hedges and bushes and pruning trees, although these activities are often performed alongside larger scale improvements to the garden itself.
Professional landscaping experts will be able to execute a survey of your garden and advise you on the best changes to increase the use of your space. If you have always desired a patio, sleeper beds for planting or a water feature, a landscape company will carry out the design and build of these elements. Furthermore, many landscaping companies also offer an aftercare service, where they will carry out regular upkeep on your garden to ensure its new features stay in perfect condition. Landscaping works can make your garden and the other areas around your property such as your driveway a really functional and stylish space that you can enjoy for many years to come.
