Porch extensions are very very popular in the United Kingdom. They are generally small and used to create a compact amount of extra space for storage at the front of your home. Porches can be useful spaces for umbrellas, shoes and other similar items as well as providing a great space for welcoming visitors. They also boost the kerb appeal of a home as they can have a striking effect on the front profile of the house.

There are a wide array of different styles of porch available. Some may be just a covering or canopy that can provide shelter over the front door. Others are glazed and create an extra storage space or lobby area. The last common style is by using brick walls and a tile pitched roof. This final type of porch is generally the most sympathetic to the existing home and can look very natural.Specialist building companies can help you pick the best porch for your house. They will discuss with you the available space as well as the various designs.
